The fourth stage of the Tour of Guangxi came down to a sprint finish in a small group, comprising just half the peloton. “The stage was made difficult by numerous teams; there were quite a few tough climbs, and many teams without a sprinter wanted to make the race harder. A lot of sprinters struggled, and unfortunately Milan was one of them today; he was dropped on a climb midway through the stage and was unable to get back into the leading group to contest the win. We weren’t able to play a leading role in the final, but the team stuck together around Jamie Meehan, our key rider for the general classification, which will be decided on Sunday.”
