Without Piet Allegaert, who was unable to start following his crash yesterday, the team contested a second stage that ended in a bunch sprint. Benjamin Giraud, sporting director:
“Piet Allegaert was unable to start this morning following his crash yesterday. We therefore set off with six riders, aiming for a bunch sprint for Milan. The finale didn’t go the way we had hoped, but the team remains focused and we will have more opportunities to show ourselves before the end of the race.”
