So close to a remarkable achievement, the team gave it their all at the Tre Valli Varesine Women, and Nikola Noskova was only caught in the final kilometre. Having been at the front all day, the riders set Nikola on the attack, and she held off the peloton’s comeback for a long time. A slight disappointment at the finish, but a superb team performance.

“We put in a really good performance today. We knew we needed to get a head start to try and outwit the teams whose riders were a little faster than ours in the sprint on a finish like this.
We rode exactly the race we’d planned, and I’d like to commend the girls for their work in executing our plan for the day. We ticked all the boxes, and Nikola came very close to a real feat: she was caught in the final kilometre.
It’s a bit of a disappointment, but it was still a successful race for us, where we tried to plan ahead to secure victory. It didn’t pay off today, but I’d like to commend the girls’ efforts in one of our final races of the season.”
