On the famous slopes of San Luca, the Cofidis women’s team got off to an ideal start to its Italian race series. In Bologna, Nikola Nosková and Julie Bego stood out by finishing 5th and 6th, respectively, in the Giro dell'Emilia Internazionale Donne Elite.
In a particularly demanding finale, our two riders rose to the challenge on the grueling climbs of San Luca to secure a fantastic result on Saturday, October 3. This double Top 10 finish rewards their dedication and puts Cofidis among the front-runners in this Italian race.
With Nikola Nosková in 5th and Julie Bego in 6th, the women’s team has made a remarkable debut in this Italian race series, which will continue shortly with new events on Italian roads: the Trois Vallées Varésines Féminines on Tuesday, October 6, and the Veneto Women on Wednesday, October 14.

Arthur Quilliec, sports director: "It was a fairly straightforward race, mostly flat. The breakaway quickly pulled ahead, and the winner was in it—she was really strong. As for us, we finished 5th and 6th. Those were two very satisfying climbs today, especially as the season winds down. We’re starting the Italian leg on a high note, so it’s a pretty positive sign.”
