The Cofidis team is proud to announce the arrival of Pierre Thierry. The 23-year-old Breton, with his attacking style, will fit right in with the Cofidis squad. A puncheur-rouleur and former team-mate of Louis Rouland, he has signed a contract for the next two seasons.
Sometimes it is places that inspire the most wonderful vocations. Pierre Thierry can attest to this: his passion for cycling was born on the slopes of the legendary Côte de Cadoudal, in the heart of Morbihan. A 1.7 km stretch of tarmac that he first climbed as a child, alongside his parents. “I quickly got the hang of it,” he says with a smile. Pierre then began his long climb to the very top.
From Brittany to World Tour races
During his U23 years, riding for OC Locminé, he racked up a string of victories. “That’s when my career really took off,” explains Pierre. The young rider then joined the ranks of Arkéa – B&B Hôtels, first with the continental team, then in the UCI WorldTour. In 2025, he took part in his first Grand Tour, the Vuelta, alongside Louis Rouland, among others, who has been part of the Cofidis team since last January. This year, riding for TotalEnergies, Pierre has distinguished himself at the Boucles de l’Aulne (7th), the Grand Prix Criquielion (3rd) and the Tour of Turkey (4th on the first stage). At Cofidis, he will be keen to reach new heights and put his attacking spirit to good use for the team’s success !

We’d already been in touch with Raphaël Jeune last year, but it hadn’t worked out then.
