Here we go again! For the fifth year running, the Cofidis women’s team will be competing in the world’s most prestigious stage race. Their aim? To be among the frontrunners, to ride boldly and to give it their all. In the mountains, the team can count on the youth of Ema Comte, Julie Bego and Malwina Mul, alongside the experience of Nikola Nosková. When it comes to the sprints, Danish champion Amalie Dideriksen is determined to make her mark. The highly experienced Hannah Ludwig and Victorie Guilman round off the squad.

It has already been five years since the spirit of the Tour de France began to extend a little further into the summer. The Tour de France Femmes with Zwift offers the chance to experience once again the excitement along the roadside, the enthusiastic crowds and the athletes giving their all. The Cofidis team has been part of the revival of the women’s version of the Grande Boucle since its inception. From the very first edition in 2022, Cofidis was among the teams taking part. Since then, the team has grown and competed in all the most prestigious races on the planet. At last year’s Tour de France, Cofidis made its mark with Julie Bego, who claimed the white jersey for best young rider on the very first stage and only lost it at the end of the final stage.

Julie, Ema, Malwina, the youth bonus

This year, the Cofidis team is once again putting its faith in young riders. As well as the return of Julie Bego (aged 21), the squad will include Ema Comte (aged 21), who notably distinguished herself at the Bretagne Ladies Tour (4th in the general classification) and the Tour des Pyrénées (4th on stage 2), and Malwina Mul (aged 22). Julie, Ema and Malwina will be able to shine as soon as the road climbs, as will Nikola Nosková, who is particularly at home on the climbs.

In the sprints, the team will be able to rely on the talent of Amalie Dideriksen. The Danish rider, who won the Région Pays de la Loire Tour and her national championship this season, will do everything she can to win the bunch sprints. Furthermore, Hannah Ludwig (aged 26) and Victorie Guilman (aged 30) will put their experience at the service of the team, giving their all to experience the greatest of thrills.

THEY SAID

Raphaël Jeune, general manager:

“We are delighted to be competing once again in the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift, the most prestigious race of the season. We have a very well-rounded team which, I am convinced, will enable us to cause a stir during the stages. This team gives pride of place to young riders such as Ema Comte, Malwina Mul and Julie Bego, and they will aim to make their mark, just as Julie did last year with the white jersey. Amalie Dideriksen has shown she’s been in excellent form all season and hopes to build on that momentum in the sprints. Furthermore, the experience of Nikola Noskova, Hannah Ludwig and Victorie Guilman will undoubtedly prove invaluable throughout the Tour.”

Mélanie Briot, sporting director :

“Our initial idea was to put together a team made up of those who had shown exemplary attitude and behaviour in races throughout the season. All the girls who will be competing in the Tour de France have proved that they deserve their place and that they have worked hard to get there. We’re not aiming for a place in the general classification, but we want to make our mark in our own way. Last year, Julie (Bego) led the way by wearing the white jersey for a long time. We’re keen to get back on the podium. There will be stages where we’ll try to join the breakaway, and others where we’ll aim for a top placing with Amalie in the sprints. The Tour de France is a unique race; we know how important mental strength is to keep going for nine days. But I have confidence in the team and in each of the girls to stay positive and give it their all from start to finish!”
