The 22-year-old Polish rider is contesting her first season with Cofidis. Already under contract until 2027, she has extended her deal by one additional season through 2028. The extension represents a new opportunity to build confidence and continue her development, as she is a highly versatile rider comfortable across all types of terrain.

Now 22, she is considered one of the rising talents within Cofidis’ women’s team. Malwina Mull has been wearing the red and yellow jersey since the start of the season and has already had opportunities to shine. The Polish rider delivered a solid Classics campaign, finishing 20th at Gent-Wevelgem and 31st at the Tour of Flanders. She also stood out with two podium finishes (2nd and 3rd) at the Tour Féminin in the Czech Republic, as well as a top-10 stage result at the Tour of Catalonia (6th on stage 1).

However, she says she still wants “to continue discovering herself.” “She’s a rider with a great mindset, capable of both leading out in sprints and supporting her teammates when the road goes uphill,” said Mélanie Briot. For the sports director, Malwina is a “very complete” rider who “can deliver across all terrains.” Briot added: “I’m excited to see what she will achieve in the future. She has not finished surprising us.”

HIS REACTION

Malwina Mull said:

“I was pleasantly surprised that the team offered me a contract extension. I feel very good within the team; there is a very good atmosphere among us. You can clearly sense the respect and care between the riders and all members of staff. This season, I have continued to discover myself and achieved encouraging results, especially in one-day races. Winning a Monument or a stage at the Tour de France would be a dream. I know I still have a lot of work to do and that I can keep improving. Extending with the team allows me to approach the future with peace of mind. And in 2028, it is an Olympic year, which makes it even more exciting to be surrounded by such a supportive staff to perform at my best.”

Raphaël Jeune, General Manager:
“I am very pleased with Mawina’s contract extension. She is a major prospect in women’s cycling, and at Cofidis we are committed to supporting the development of young talent. Together with the entire staff, we will continue to work closely with her to help her progress and reach the next level at the highest stage with the Cofidis team.”
