A team time trial awaited the riders on the third stage of the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. A unique challenge.
On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, a team time trial awaited the Cofidis team on the roads of the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. A challenge that is always demanding for all riders in the peloton. Around Le Perreux, the northerners posted the 17th-fastest time and already have their sights set on the upcoming stages.
The reaction
Bingen Fernandez, sports director:
“We finished in 17th place; of course we always want to do better, but I think that compared to 11th place, we were only 11 seconds behind. So we always have to go after them, that’s for sure. But on the bike, we saw that there’s a big gap between the powerhouse machines of the top teams, and then, once you get down to around 10th place, we’re a little closer to each other.
Of course, we wanted to do better. It’s a good result to be in the top 10, but we didn’t make it today. We weren’t too far off, but we need to keep pedaling and improving. We’ll try to do better next time.”
