Having already secured a podium finish on Saturday, Milan Fretin once again came close to victory on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the Brussels Cycling Classic. He finished in second place.
This marks a very encouraging return to competition for Milan Fretin. After his third-place finish the day before at the Heylen Vastgoed Heistse Pijl, our Belgian sprinter followed up on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the Brussels Cycling Classic. In a tense final sprint marred by several crashes, including one involving Stanislaw Aniolkowski, Milan was among the fastest and finished in second place behind Jordy Meeus. Unfortunately for Stanislaw, the outcome was less fortunate. As we write this, he is in the hospital undergoing X-rays.

Sébastien Demarbaix, sports director:
"Today, the primary plan was to reach the finish with a reduced peloton, given the difficulty of the course from km 90 to 169, and to do the job for Milan Fretin. Everything went well until the last five kilometers, when three or four crashes occurred. Milan had the legs to win… but we have to stay positive after this good weekend. Unfortunately, as you know, Stanislaw Aniolkowski crashed. We’re still busy getting X-rays…"
