The Cofidis team played it safe at the Morbihan Grand Prix. With his 7th-place finish today, Valentin Ferron confirms he’s back in form. This bodes well for the rest of the season.
Our riders are in good shape. At the Grand Prix du Morbihan, the Cofidis team delivered a strong performance in the race that concluded at the summit of the Côte de Cadoudal. After a challenging 2025, Valentin Ferron confirms he is back in form. Our rider took 7th place in this round of the FDJ United Series. Clément Izquierdo finished 13th.

Edvaldas Siskevicius, sports director:
“Today, we were determined to get a good result. I knew the riders were in good shape. In the end, Valentin Ferron finished seventh and Clément Izquierdo thirteenth in the powerful sprints at Cadoudal. The race was controlled by UAE Team Emirates – XRG and Décathlon CMA CGM Team. We were hoping to do a little better, but we were hampered by the crashes that occurred 500 meters from the finish.
It’s still a satisfying result, especially since Valentin has confirmed that he’s capable of competing for a podium spot in races like this. Clément also put in a strong sprint, though he was a bit further back. He made a small positioning error, but it’s still a positive outcome and gives us confidence for the Tro Bro Léon tomorrow.”
