183 kilometres, 2,500 metres of elevation gain between Patara and Kemer. The longest stage of this edition, long and gruelling along the Turkish coast, where the team gave it everything from the breakaway.

The team went on the offensive. From the start, Sergio Samitier joined a first breakaway of 13 riders, before being brought back by the peloton. A second move saw Nicolas Debeaumarché slot into a ten-man group, which he animated for most of the day. Caught on the final climb, he finishes 20th in the sprint. With 25 kilometres to go, Sylvain Moniquet had also made his move, without success. Stanislaw Aniolkowski, not at 100% today, was not able to challenge for the victory.

Gorka Gerrikagoitia, sports director:

« It was the longest stage of the race, full gas from the start. We wanted to be in the breakaway and we were. Sergio was part of the first group of 13 riders, but the peloton came back. A new ten-man breakaway went clear with Nicolas Debeaumarché. He spent a lot of kilometres at the front but the break was caught on the final climb and it came back together. Stanislaw Aniolkowski wasn't feeling 100% today, he wasn't there in the bunch sprint for the win. But the team worked well, we were present in every breakaway but the stage ended in a sprint. »
