The Cofidis journey continues for Marion Borras, Clément Izquierdo and Sam Maisonobe! All three joined Cofidis in 2025, have proven their worth, and their place within the team is unquestionable. Marion (28), Clément (24) and Sam (22) are therefore among the first riders in the team to have their contracts extended this year, for the next two seasons. This will allow them to approach what lies ahead with confidence and the ambition to make Cofidis shine.

There is always a great sense of satisfaction and pride when you have the opportunity to extend your contract within a team. That is exactly how Marion, Clément and Sam feel, as they will continue to race in Cofidis colours in 2027 and 2028. All three have managed to carve out their place within the group and thrive in order to deliver their best.

Riders who have often stood out

Marion Borras has excelled in her favourite discipline, the time trial, notably at the Baloise Ladies Tour (7th in 2025) and the Tour of Extremadura (6th this year). Sam Maisonobe, meanwhile, stood out last year in the young rider classifications at the Étoile de Bessèges (4th), the Région Pays de la Loire Tour (2nd), and the Tour de Suisse (10th). For his part, Clément Izquierdo enjoyed the thrill of victory at the Tour de Wallonie (Stage 5) in 2025 and was one of the standout riders at the Étoile de Bessèges (8th overall).

These three riders are the best ambassadors for Cofidis: tough, never reluctant to give everything on the road, and always willing to protect and support their leaders. At the same time, Marion, Sam and Clément can also seize their opportunities, showing opportunism in certain races and giving it their all. Exemplary teammates, they also know they will be able to play their own cards and aim for victory whenever opportunities arise. All of this will help them play an active role in Cofidis’ future success over the next two seasons.

THEY SAID

Marion Borras:

“This is wonderful news; it’s a great show of confidence and continues the great story we’ve been writing together for the past year and a half. I was lucky enough to have the team’s support last year whilst I was finishing my studies to become a physiotherapist. Now that I’ve graduated, I want to focus 100% on my performance. I hope to put in some great performances on the roads, whether in the various time trials throughout the season, or at Paris-Roubaix and on the track. I feel really at home in the team; there’s a great sense of unity. I’m happy to be leaving home to join my teammates, and that’s priceless!”

Clément Izquierdo:

“I’m really delighted to have signed on for two more seasons. It shows that the team has faith in me. I feel great at Cofidis; I think the atmosphere is incredible. You can tell we all come to the races with a smile and the desire to do well. I’ve had a good start to the season but I’ve got a few frustrations: I know I could have done even better. I really want to keep improving so I can aim for victories. And I absolutely loved Paris-Roubaix and I hope one day I’ll get a good result there!”

Sam Maisonobe:

“It’s a great source of pride to know that the team supports me and believes in me. I’m really happy with this experience at Cofidis; it’s truly enriching both on a personal level and in terms of striving for performance. I feel I’ve made a lot of progress since joining the team, particularly in terms of tactics. Riding alongside our leaders is teaching me a great deal. I want to keep working hard to perform well in stage races. I still feel just as fulfilled in this team and I’ll do everything I can to rise to the challenge!”
