On a hilly 152.8 km stage between Aydın and Marmaris, the day's breakaway was controlled by the leader's team, setting up a sprint finish. Stanisław Aniolkowski crosses the line in 5th.
The day started with a nine-rider breakaway. The peloton kept control and the stage ended in another sprint finish. In the finale, with a last climb 11 km from the line, Stanisław Aniolkowski stayed well-positioned and crossed the line in 5th.
The day was however marked by bad luck for Emanuel Buchmann, who suffered a mechanical issue 5 km from the finish. Nicolas Debeaumarché gave him his bike to limit the time loss, before Emanuel was then held up by a crash 2 km from the line.
Reaction from Gorka Gerrikagoitia, sports director:
"Same scenario as yesterday, with a breakaway controlled by the peloton, so we ended up with a sprint finish. Stanislaw Aniolkowski takes 5th today. We had bad luck 5 km from the finish with Emanuel Buchmann suffering a mechanical. Nicolas Debeaumarché gave him his bike so he wouldn't lose too much time, but he was then held up by the crash in the final kilometres."
