The northern-based team is proud to welcome young Louis Rouland to its ranks. At 22 years old, after three years wearing the Arkéa B&B Hôtels jersey, he is a talented rider with great potential. He will be eager to keep progressing by supporting the team’s leaders when the road goes uphill and seizing his own opportunities whenever they arise. His new contract ties him to Cofidis for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
He finds it hard to pinpoint when it all began. Louis has “always” had a passion for cycling. The native of Le Mans remembers watching the Tour de France stages on TV and heading out for rides from a young age. “Little by little, what was once a dream became a goal.” Louis climbed the ranks and grew as a rider.
After developing his talent with the Bourg-en-Bresse club, he discovered professional racing with the Arkéa B&B Hôtels team. The young rider describes himself as a
climber-puncher. “I think I like tough races,” he smiles. This season, he notably stood out by frequently attacking during the Vuelta.
Indeed, he was among the riders who spent the most time in breakaways during the Tour of Spain a testament to his toughness and love for aggressive racing. Louis is eager to bring his enthusiasm, determination, and selflessness to the Cofidis team as he continues to progress and experience great sporting moments.
THEY SAID
Louis Rouland:
“I was really drawn to the Cofidis team project, led by Raphaël Jeune. Things were, of course, complicated and delicate with the Arkéa B&B Hôtels team. I want to sincerely thank everyone who trusted me and helped me discover professional cycling. With Cofidis, I want to keep learning and improving. I love giving my all for my leaders, especially in the mountains. I can’t wait to meet my new teammates and do everything I can to help the team shine.”
Raphaël Jeune, General Manager:
“Louis is a very young and talented rider. We saw that during the last Vuelta, where he was in multiple breakaways, especially in the mountains. He’s a raw talent, and we’re delighted to welcome him. We’ll do everything we can to help him continue his development and become one of the best French climbers in the international peloton. We hope he has a brilliant future ahead of him, and we’re very happy to have him join us!”
